Romazzino is Sardinia’s Best Beach Club
The beach club at Romazzino, A Belmond Hotel (Costa Smeralda) has confirmed its title as Sardinia’s best beach club in the 2026 edition of Guide to Italy’s Best Beach Clubs, the first and only industry guide conceived and curated by journalist Andrea Guolo and actress and writer Tiziana Di Masi, now in bookstores for the third consecutive year in an updated and renewed edition (Morellini editore, Milano). The beach establishment inaugurated in 2024 and already winner of the award for best beach club in Sardinia with a rating of “three gold umbrellas” – awarded to only nine other beach establishments in Italy – has prevailed over the other beach clubs selected, visited and reviewed by the guide’s authors. There are 26 beach establishments from Sardinia in total featured in the publication, and Sardinia can boast three facilities with the maximum “three gold umbrellas” rating. In addition to Romazzino, Phi Beach in Baja Sardinia and Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda have earned entry to this pantheon.
In addition to the overall winner, three special awards were given across different categories. Rafel Beach in Alghero prevailed in dining, winning the Cà Maiol Award – Best beach restaurant 2026. The San Greg by Feudi di San Gregorio Award for best design in Sardinia was given to A Mare, a beach club by Smeralda Holding at Liscia Ruja. Finally, La Spigola, already winner of the dining award in the previous two years, received the award for best beach club for quality and sustainability (Audit People Award) for its policies implemented in this area.
