Four beach clubs where to taste top desserts
For the website Italia a Tavola, Tiziana Di Masi, also known as La Signora in Dolce, curator and experiential consultant for the Guide to Italy’s Best Beach Clubs, has selected beach clubs where you can enjoy excellent desserts, a dish that sometimes risks taking a back seat to the great “seaside classics,” but whose quality is constantly growing, thanks also to the breakfast-on-the-beach trend that pushes beach establishments to equip themselves with pastry of the highest level. What are the best ones according to the curator?
Di Masi chose the Tiramigiù from Riviera Lake on Lake Garda, created by two-Michelin-starred chef Francesco Sodano. “Observing the plating, the dessert appears deliberately fallen, scattered on the plate, almost deconstructed. A dessert so tempting it would “pull you down” into deep indulgence even at 40 degrees temperature,” she commented.
Then there’s the Pavlova Piña Colada (in the photo) from Sarabi Beach Club in Cervia. “From breakfast to evening dessert, all of Sarabi’s pastry is self-produced by their internal laboratory and the Pavlova is the ideal opportunity for a bite of tropical sweetness in the sun: crispy meringue base outside, soft heart with pastry cream and pineapple, fresh on the palate and light in texture”.
We stay in Romagna with the Dark chocolate mousse, mint-infused apricots and almond sorbet from Boca Barranca in Marina Romea. “Sophistication and style also in the dessert, in a beach club on the Romagna Riviera that has unsurprisingly won the award for best beachfront dining in Emilia-Romagna. A dessert that combines freshness and intensity of flavor, adding the pleasant sensation of discovering, layer by layer, the ideal pairing between mint, apricot and chocolate. Authentic delight”.
Finally, Peach and almonds from Cbc Beach Club in Jesolo. In the splendid Amarmio restaurant at Casa Bianca al Mare, just a few meters from Cbc beach, appears, like a gift from a scorching summer, the freshness of a peach and its compote. At the top of the plate, a peach and thyme sorbet sits above a cushion of caramelized almonds and crumble. A symphony of rounded flavors, enriched by the pleasant crunch of caramelized almonds, which enhance the pleasure of the experience.
