Grado and Jesolo Lead on Spiagge.it

Le spiagge di Grado e Jesolo in testa per Spiagge.it

The 2026 season was record-breaking for online bookings of beaches, swimming pools and water parks. Spiagge.it and inpiscina.it closed with a combined value of €87.6 million, up 57% from €55.8 million in 2025, and over 1.48 million bookings, up 64%. Even considering only facilities present on both platforms in both seasons, growth remains substantial: +34% in value and +35% in transaction volume. Beach establishments drove the results, with Spiagge.it reaching €73.5 million (+50%), while inpiscina.it reached €14.1 million (+107%).

On the beach front, Puglia remains the region with the highest overall number of bookings, ahead of Campania and Sicily. Lazio instead records the strongest growth (+90%), followed by Sardegna (+70%) and Puglia (+69%). At constant perimeter, Liguria stands out with +43%. Among destinations, Grado and Jesolo stand out, both with 43,000 bookings, and Monopoli with 41,000. Sistiana, Viareggio and Gaeta are also advancing strongly.

The contribution of international tourism is particularly significant. Italian bookings rise by 51%, from 632,000 to 954,000, while foreign bookings increase by 66%, reaching 206,000. The foreign component thus rises to 17.8% of the total and shows a significantly higher spending capacity: approximately €101 per booking compared to €55 for Italians. The United States, Germany and the United Kingdom are among the main markets, while Positano remains the most international destination, with 93% of bookings from abroad.

«The results of summer 2026 demonstrate that online booking is now a structural component of leisure and vacation experiences», comments Gabriele Greco, CEO of Spiagge.it. A phenomenon that extends to swimming pools and water parks as well: inpiscina.it handled approximately 326,000 bookings, up 117%, confirming the progressive spread of digital throughout the entire tourism sector.
