The bathing season at Forte dei Marmi will continue until Sunday, November 1st. October is starting today with temperatures well above average, and Versilia’s most prestigious resort is taking advantage of this to welcome tourists until All Saints’ Day, which will mark the end of the 2026 season. This extension was made possible by a decision by mayor Bruno Murzi.

“Forte dei Marmi – declared the mayor – must learn to thrive increasingly beyond the traditionally summer months. Extending the season means supporting local businesses, offering greater opportunities to residents and guests, and accompanying a change that is already underway. We want a lively town for longer during the year, capable of seizing new opportunities without losing its own identity and the quality that have always distinguished it”.

Beach facilities will be able to continue their seasonal activities as provided by municipal regulations until the first of November, in compliance with bathing safety regulations. The extension also applies to evening openings: facilities that have not yet reached the maximum limit of 40 openings provided for 2026 will be able to use them until the new deadline.

“Tourism is changing and we must be able to interpret this change – Murzi continues – Extending the season does not mean transforming Forte dei Marmi into something different, but making better use of what we already are. We should not chase other models: we must continue to be Forte dei Marmi, opening ourselves to the future without giving up our identity”.
