About us

Born from the experience that led to the publication of the “Guida ai migliori beach club d’Italia” (Morellini Editore), italianbeach.club is an information website dedicated to the finest beach establishments in Italy. Founded and directed by Andrea Guolo, a journalist specializing in major made in Italy topics and a contributor to several leading national publications, italianbeach.club was launched on May 3, 2024, coinciding with the release of the guide in Italy’s best bookstores.

In the summer of 2023, Andrea Guolo and Tiziana Di Masi made their first journey along the entire Italian coastline, starting from Trieste (first beach club: La Lanterna, “El Pedocin”) and reaching Ventimiglia (last beach club: “La Spiaggetta dei Balzi Rossi”), covering over 9,000 km of coastline and visiting around 300 establishments. They selected 225 to be included in the guide, evaluating them based on a range of criteria: location, design, services, food, beverage, and atmosphere. Of these, 14 beach clubs achieved or exceeded a score of 90/100, earning a place in the Olympus of beach establishments and receiving the “Tre Ombrelloni Gold” recognition.

From this endeavor – set to be repeated every year to bring other deserving beach clubs into the guide – was born the website, which with a leisure and lifestyle approach will cover all the news and offerings set to accompany the warm summer along Italy’s wonderful coastline.

Today, the “Guide to the Best Beach Clubs in Italy” (third edition, 2026) is a unique project of its kind, filling a channel that has remained uncovered despite its economic and social importance during the summer season. It also has a multimedia dimension: the publication is complemented by the website italianbeach.club, associated social media channels, and the podcast Beach Advisor – Le spiagge più belle d’Italia, created with Loquis, with further new features currently being launched.
