Javier Zanetti’s beach club on Lake Maggiore

Javier Zanetti 2014

Opening today, Thursday June 4th, is the first beach club by Javier Zanetti, Inter Milan legend first as a player and captain, now as an executive. It’s called Ku by El Gaucho and is located in Laveno Mombello, on the Lombard side of Lake Maggiore. The venue’s concept includes dining, building on the experience and success of El Gaucho (traditional Argentine cuisine) in Milan, in an outdoor version, with 200 square meters of open space featuring gazebos and umbrellas, plus a large area divided between restaurant and lounge capable of accommodating up to 250 people simultaneously. In addition to dining, Ku offers sun loungers and cabanas for enjoying the lake, a sports area with beach volleyball and basketball courts, various services and leisure activities, including pedal boats and bicycles, making the facility a reference point for residents, tourists and lake enthusiasts.

Today’s opening will be a soft opening while awaiting the official inauguration to be scheduled by the end of the month, which will surely feature Inter’s “number 4”, who with this initiative consolidates his entrepreneurial activity based on Argentine parrilla culture. And even in Laveno Mombello, fire is the heart of the project, with a grill over two meters long positioned in front of the bar area and tables where specialties like asado, entraña, selected cuts and parrilla are prepared. The gastronomic offering is completed by pizzas and an all day dining proposal. The restaurant and beach club, located near the ferry terminal, will be open from morning (11 AM) until after dinner, when it transforms into a venue for tango shows, jazz concerts, DJ sets and special evenings tied to Argentine culture.
