Sicily’s Best Beach Clubs Revealed
Lido Villeggiatura di Villa Sant’Andrea, a Belmond Hotel, confirms itself as Sicily’s best beach club in the 2026 edition of Guide to Italy’s Best Beach Clubs, the first and only guide in the sector conceived and curated by journalist Andrea Guolo and actress and writer Tiziana Di Masi, published for the third consecutive year in an updated and renewed edition (Morellini editore, Milano). The bathing establishment in Taormina (Messina) thus retains the title already won last year and consolidates a regional supremacy resulting from qualitative and innovative investments, having obtained on May 7 in Milano the title of Italy’s best beach club in the luxury segment at the Gran Galà dei Beach Club d’Italia, the sector’s benchmark event held at Hotel Excelsior Gallia on the occasion of the official launch of the Guide.
With a rating of “three gold umbrellas“, the Guide’s highest recognition (only 10 establishments in Italy have “three gold umbrellas”), Lido Villeggiatura represents the excellence of the regional offering, in a Sicily well represented in the selection of bathing establishments visited and reviewed by the authors, with 31 beach clubs included in the volume and among these 2 with the three gold umbrellas rating, also assigned to Nuova Beach Paradiso in Letojanni (Messina). An additional 5 beach clubs with the three umbrellas rating: Insula Beach Club (Menfi, Agrigento), Luna Minoica al Mare – Locanda Perbellini al Mare (Montallegro, Agrigento), Puravita Beach Resort (Pachino, Siracusa), Cala Manbrù (Siculiana Marina, Agrigento) and Tao Beach (Taormina, Messina).
Beyond the overall winner, three special awards were presented divided by category. Cala Manbrù in Siculiana Marina prevailed in dining, winning the Cà Maiol Award – Best beach restaurant 2026. The San Greg by Feudi di San Gregorio Award for best design went instead to Puravita Beach Resort in Pachino, which had already established itself nationally in this category with the award presentation at the Gran Galà dei Beach Club d’Italia in Milano. The award for quality and sustainability presented by Audit People was won by Lido Baiadera in Oliveri.
