Every year the quality bar is raised a little at Stella Maris. And 2025 confirms this rule. The beach club owned by the Fasolin Boscolo family in Sottomarina (Venice) has all the strengths that a new facility can boast, designed according to an architectural project to meet the needs of every type of clientele, breaking down architectural barriers and basing beach activities on inclusion. And while 2024 saw the start of the partnership, confirmed this season, with the restaurant brand Baessato which opened its first venue and restaurant on the beach right at Stella Maris, 2025 is characterized by ongoing construction work for the resort that, if all goes well, could be inaugurated next year.

In doing so, Stella Maris has put into practice two of the “summer 2025” trends highlighted in the Guide to Italy’s best beach clubs: the separation of management between beach and restaurant (but the beach chiringuito is still managed by Stella Maris, and it works wonderfully) and the beach club with resort.

Honor therefore to Stella Maris, which has won for the second consecutive year the Audit People Award as best beach club in Veneto in the “quality and sustainability” category. The award was presented in recent days and for the ceremony, institutional and religious leaders from Chioggia turned out. In fact, representing the municipal administration were the mayor, Mauro Armelao, and the councilor for inclusion Sandro Marangon. In addition, His Excellency the bishop of Chioggia, Giampaolo Dianin, participated, accompanied by the parish priest don Francesco Zenna.

The city of Chioggia achieved a brilliant result in the 2025 edition of the Guide. Stella Maris rose from two to three umbrella rating, reaching the top of the regional ranking alongside the two historic facilities of the Venice Lido, Beach Hotel Excelsior and Des Bains 1900. Moreover, Sand e Sale won two umbrellas and the Cà Maiol Award as best beach club restaurant. Finally, Sand Beach Club also entered the guide, also on Sottomarina beach.

To collect the award, with legitimate satisfaction, were the brothers Edoardo and Gianmarco Fasolin, who together with their mother Marilisa Boscolo manage the establishment wanted by their father, the late Gianluca, and built in 2022. The Guide features all the elements that led the editors to award the “three umbrella” rating: from the entrance, with parking covered by photovoltaic panels, to the possibility of charging your smartphone directly under the umbrella; from the cleanliness level of the bathrooms to the principles of sustainability and inclusion applied on a daily basis, from towels included in the price for those who book gazebos to the LIS (sign language) reception service. “Compared to the 2023 season, we found an even higher quality level and a sacred fire that is driving the owners to new investments, which should be completed within the year, such as the villas with sea-facing pools. The promotion to three umbrellas is the natural consequence of all this commitment,” reads the review.
