Change of guard for the title of best beach club in Emilia-Romagna. After Fantini Club di Cervia’s victory in 2024, which still confirmed the “three umbrellas” rating for the Guide to Italy’s Best Beach Clubs, a beach establishment in Milano Marittima has conquered the top position for 2025. It’s MarePineta, which this year underwent a creative takeover with La Martina. The success was however based on the “visit” from summer 2024, when this innovation had not yet taken place.

The 2025 edition of the guide saw several new entries. The number of establishments reviewed and able to earn at least one umbrella rating has risen to 21. The “three umbrellas”, the maximum score, were obtained by three beach clubs: MarePineta in Milano Marittima, Fantini Club in Cervia and Beach Le Palme in Riccione.

In operation since 1926, the MarePineta complex is one of Milano Marittima’s main attractions, well known to sports enthusiasts as it has hosted summer tournaments attended by the greatest champions in history. Beyond the Sporting Club, which is the section dedicated to sports activities, MarePineta Beach Club is a qualitatively perfect facility. For four years it has been directly managed by the Salaroli family, who have owned the entire MarePineta system for thirty years (previously the beach had been entrusted to external management), and who invested to update and enhance the offer of this establishment comprising 230 spots distributed across a very large beach that groups together five different concessions, thus allowing clients to enjoy infinite space: with this kind of area, a normal Romagna beach establishment would have placed six hundred umbrellas. There’s an adults-only area and a family area.

Besides the overall winner, four special awards were assigned divided by category. The winner in dining, conquering the Cà Maiol Award – Best beach restaurant 2025, is Marè in Cesenatico. The San Greg by Feudi di San Gregorio Award for best design went to Beach Le Palme (Riccione). The quality and sustainability award sponsored by Audit People was won by Altamarea (Cattolica). The best location? According to the guide’s authors, it’s in Marina Romea and the title went to Boca Barranca.
