Milan’s beach club is open throughout September

We visited Idroscalo to experience firsthand one of the new highlights of the 2025 season. We’re talking about Kora Beach Club, the beach resort built on what’s known as “Milan’s sea,” even though it’s technically located in the municipality of Segrate. And it’s a facility that definitely deserves inclusion in the 2026 edition of our Guide to Italy’s Best Beach Clubs.

Kora Beach Club was created by a group of partners already established in managing restaurants and bars within Milan’s sports facilities. This year it opened mid-season, but next year they’re aiming to inaugurate as early as Easter and conclude, as will happen this year, at the end of September. The facility will therefore be open throughout the month, with the possibility of swimming in Idroscalo’s waters, which are perfectly safe for bathing. Opening hours are 10:30 AM to midnight Thursday through Sunday and 1:00 PM to midnight on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Monday as the weekly closing day. The price (15-20 euros per person) includes beach towels, beverage service directly at your spot on the beach, gym space, yoga classes, and pets are welcome even on the beach. Finally, there’s affordable public paid parking.

For the future, there are interesting investment plans and talk of a swimming pool, which could be built in the area where some cabanas are currently located or alternatively – depending on permits – in the section closer to Idroscalo. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy the restaurant, which has gotten off to an excellent start, thanks also to the evening opening of the restaurant: on the menu we find, among the offerings, cod cannoli, Mediterranean fregola, spaghetti with drunken octopus and green sauce, Kora pulled pork, and the essential club sandwich. There’s a decent wine-by-the-glass list, bottles with various champagne brands, and among the signature cocktails, we find El Gabri with Campari and Espolon tequila and the Summer Yuzu. There’s also a North Sails clothing corner and misting systems to handle even the hottest days.

The first season, they tell us at Kora, has been nothing short of explosive. Guests can therefore enjoy these last twenty days of Milan’s seaside before thinking about 2026 and facing winter.
