Forte dei Marmi Closes in Early November

Forte dei Marmi

Versilia is betting on good weather. The “ottobrate” (beautiful October days) are now the norm and the mild Tyrrhenian climate is encouraging beach tourism operators to try extending the season, moving the end of the season from September to the following month. The success of this initiative will naturally depend on the weather, but meanwhile the hundred beach establishments in Forte dei Marmi have the certainty of this possibility.

Mayor Bruno Murzi signed the ordinance on September 16th that extends the closing deadline for beach establishments to the first Sunday of November. The new deadline will therefore be November 2nd.

The ordinance signed by the mayor of Forte dei Marmi requires compliance with certain conditions, including maintaining beach establishment services and adhering to harbor master’s prescriptions, and will also allow evening openings for establishments that have not yet reached the limit of 40 evening events established at the beginning of the season. During evening openings, the use of silent fireworks will also be permitted.
