Lignano, Terrazza a Mare to reopen by year-end

Renovation work on Terrazza a Mare in Lignano (Udine) will be completed ahead of schedule, and the venue will reopen to the public by the end of the year. This was confirmed by the regional councillor for Productive Activities and Tourism, Sergio Emidio Bini, as reported by Telefriuli, following an inspection of the construction site together with Lignano’s mayor Laura Giorgi, the heads of Lisaget and the company carrying out the work.

The intervention on the original building, inaugurated in 1972 according to a project by Aldo Bernardis, involves an overall investment of over 18 million euros and has resulted in a deep structural renovation, the effects of which are visible today.

Beyond structural stability, great attention has been paid to technological modernisation and sustainability. Of major impact are, among other things, the beach club area and the infinity pool located at the end of the pier, as well as the visual continuity towards the sea guaranteed by the demolition of the connecting roof between the two shells. In the smaller shell there will be a conference room for 200 seats, in the larger one the bar and wellness centre. The upper floor will be dedicated to dining, with two halls of about fifty seats each.
