In Cosenza, volunteers head to the beach
It’s called “Extraordinarily Normal” and it’s the initiative created by Csv—Centro Facilities Volontariato di Cosenza across 22 beaches in the Calabria province. For the second consecutive year, thanks to the agreement signed with Consorzio Terredamare, a network of tourism operators in the beach sector, it will be possible to find informational materials on how to become a volunteer at 22 beach establishments along the Tyrrhenian and Ionian coasts of the Cosenza area.
The protocol between Centro Facilities and Consorzio Terredamare also provides for the implementation of social entertainment activities, awareness-raising and community engagement initiatives at the beaches participating in the Consortium. The goal is to bring citizens and tourists closer to the world of volunteering; to highlight the role of Third Sector organizations in the territory; to promote opportunities for meeting, socializing and participation; to strengthen the network of collaboration between organizations, volunteers and beach activities, recognizing it as a tool for social and cultural growth.
The beach establishments that have joined the initiative are Crazy Beach, O por do sol and Sirtaky in Acquappesa; Solero Beach in Fuscaldo; Beach Story, Lo Scoglio, Beniamino, Oasi Club, Tamurè Beach Club, Havana Club and Il Laghetto in Paola; Miami Beach and Copacabana in San Lucido; Lido del Sole and Lido Aurora in Torremezzo di Falconara Albanese; Serenella in Fiumefreddo Bruzio; Il Girasole in Belmonte; Tamarix in Roseto Capo Spulico; Minerva Club Resort in Cassano Ionio; Villaggio Camping Thurium and Village Camping Due Elle in Corigliano Rossano; Tuareg centro turistico balneare in Mandatoriccio; Maracaibo Beach in Cariati.
