A controversy has erupted in Cervia, though it’s more noise than substance. It concerns Bagno Miluna, which in theory was supposed to close on September 20 like other beach establishments, but according to media reports, closed early, leaving bathers without the service they had already paid for. This led to mandatory relocation at no cost to other beach clubs, at the expense of the Cooperativa Bagnini di Cervia.

In reality, according to reporting by Ravenna Today from the Citynews editorial group, the establishment’s managers contest some of the accounts that circulated and clarify that the closure of bar and restaurant activities did not affect the beach service reserved for seasonal customers. This version is confirmed, moreover, by a notice previously posted by the beach club itself on Instagram, stating that “Beach service is active for everyone until September 30 and is free”.

“Our business has not collected payments for services not rendered nor has it ‘defrauded’ any customer,” the managers state in their reply released after a post published in recent days in a Facebook group. The clarification addresses in particular the accusations contained in the original complaint, which referenced alleged fraud, debts, complaints and police intervention.

According to the managers, therefore, a distinction must be made between the closure of the bar and restaurant service, which occurred on August 31, and beach management. “The closure of bar and restaurant service that took place on August 31 did not result in the cessation of beach service for seasonal customers, which was maintained and guaranteed according to the agreements,” they clarify.

“We therefore deem it appropriate to clarify these circumstances, especially since the original post contains particularly serious allegations regarding alleged fraud, debts, complaints and police intervention,” the managers explain, emphasizing their intention to intervene “solely to protect our reputation and provide users with accurate information”.
