Sportur Club Hotel changes its name to become Fantini Club Hotel. A choice that strengthens the identity of Fantini Club as an experiential destination combining sport, wellness and international tourism. The hotel thus becomes the gateway to an integrated complex, directly connected to the club’s beach.

This transition occurs in a context where active tourism is growing and travelers are seeking destinations capable of offering complete experiences. National analyses highlight a progressive extension of flows in spring and autumn months (Enit, 2024), while sports tourism represents about 10% of the global tourism market (European Travel Commission, 2023), confirming the evolution of demand towards activities, movement and wellness.

Just steps from the beach, Fantini Club Hotel provides access to an ecosystem that includes 12 sand courts, paddle, basketball and outdoor programs; Fantini Wave Spa, focused on holistic wellness; Ristorante Calamare, led by chef Davide Zanetti, featuring seasonal Mediterranean cuisine; and the Botanico area, dedicated to organic food. The offer is completed by an equipped bike room and services dedicated to cycle tourism, a sector that recorded 56.8 million presences in Italy in 2023 (Isnart/Legambiente 2024), and spaces for sports and corporate events.

The new naming responds to the need to align the structure’s identity and function: in recent years the hotel has taken on an increasingly central role in the overall Fantini Club experience, and the previous name no longer reflected the integrated nature of the offer. The international market increasingly associates the Fantini Club brand with a recognizable active beach resort model. Aligning the hotel name with this brand means strengthening the overall identity and facilitating communication with European travelers.

In recent years the hotel has recorded steady growth of international guests from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Scandinavia, attracted by sports camps, themed programs and active weeks organized in collaboration with Fantini Club. Last year foreign guests accounted for about 30% of the total. This dynamic today contributes to continuous use of the facility even beyond the summer months.

“The new naming represents more precisely the connection between the hotel and the overall Fantini Club experience,” states Claudio Fantini, patron of Fantini Club. “A choice that reflects the evolution of demand and the international profile of the public that chooses Cervia for sport, wellness and socializing.”
