Rotò Beach, Rotondella

Marcello Mattia and Letizia Pipino, managers of Rotò Beach, love their work and transmit this passion to their guests, who are delighted also because the quality-price ratio of this establishment is very high, and particularly the prices are nationally competitive: it’s hard to find a beach club that offers so much and that, in peak season, sells spots for 25 euros and in low season stays around 10 euros. They do it because they love seeing their beach full, and it’s a good choice because the benefits are also measured in terms of restaurant business. The kitchen, in particular, is Letizia’s realm, who last year had to work quite hard to satisfy the demand for paccheri allo scoglio and scialatielli alle vongole. And don’t worry about the freshness of the ingredients: at Rotò Beach the freezer simply doesn’t exist. Beyond the services, Letizia and Marcello bring enthusiasm and empathy, also the result of a previous life spent in tourist villages. We liked Rotò Beach because it’s an authentic place, where you can breathe relaxation, simplicity and flexible schedules in a familiar and cordial atmosphere. The woven straw umbrellas and standard loungers are positioned in front of the sea which, in this area, has rocks right at the water’s edge, while both the beach and seabed are sandy. The elevated terrace is very beautiful, from where you can admire the panorama of the Gulf of Taranto up to the Calabrian coast. Among the unmissable offerings, there’s the possibility to dine by the sea in a special gazebo transformed into a restaurant table. And even though water is precious, at Rotò Beach the showers are free, trusting in responsible use by the clientele. Looking ahead, there are expansion projects not yet underway, but it might not be long.
