The best beach club in Puglia, the winner is…
What will be the best beach club in Puglia? The answer has arrived… According to “Guide to the best beach clubs in Italy”, one bathing establishment has stood out for its beauty, class and style. And it is located in Otranto, on the Adriatic coast of the province of Lecce. Which one is it?
It is Lido La Castellana, the bathing establishment created by initiative of the Capasa family – active in fashion and represented by Carlo Capasa, president of Camera Nazionale Moda Italiana, Ennio Capasa and Rita Capasa – and it confirms the title already won in previous years, consolidating a regional primacy resulting from quality investments.
With a rating of “three umbrellas“, Lido La Castellana represents the excellence of the regional offer, in a Puglia well represented in the selection of bathing establishments visited and reviewed by the authors, with 32 beach clubs included in the volume and among these as many as 12 with the three umbrellas rating awarded to Canneto Beach (Leporano), Lido Gandoli (Leporano), Le Palme Beach Club (Monopoli), Calderisi Mare Beach Club (Monopoli), Le Cinque Vele (Pescoluse), Cala San Giovanni (Polignano a Mare), Bahia (Porto Cesareo), Cala Masciola (Savelletri), Cala Maka (Savelletri), Coccaro Beach Club (Savelletri), Pettolecchia Il Lido (Torre Canne) and of course La Castellana.
In addition to the overall winner, three special awards have been given divided by category. Standing out in dining, winning the Cà Maiol Award – Best beach restaurant 2026 for Puglia, is Posto 9 in Campomarino, a new entry in the guide. The San Greg by Feudi di San Gregorio Award for best design instead went to Cala Masciola in Savelletri, the beach club of Borgo Egnazia, another newcomer in this edition. The award for quality and sustainability put up by Audit People was won by Cala San Giovanni in Polignano a Mare. There is also the national award, already collected during the Gran Galà dei Beach Club d’Italia last May 7 in Milan, for the best business strategy to Le Cinque Vele in Pescoluse.
