White Beach, Liscia Ruja
An old sunbed rental has now become one of the leading beach clubs on the Costa Smeralda

In 1989, Mario Piccinnu decided to open a sunbed rental in the Gulf of Congianus, on Liscia Ruja beach. Over time, thanks to the enchanting beauty of the location, the business grew and the facility followed suit: dining services debuted, the offering was enhanced, and a launch corridor and tender arrived to bring guests from yachts moored in the bay to the beach. That old rental is now one of the leading establishments on the Costa Smeralda and goes by the name White Beach: white like the lounge-style stations complete with canopies attached to African reed umbrellas, white like the beach towels given to guests, white like the sand. Managing White Beach is Giovanni, Mario’s son, who has raised the service level – and prices accordingly – with the firm conviction that this is the way to make the Costa Smeralda a reference point for elite tourism. Dining is an essential part of the rich offering: the spaghetti with lobster, caught in Golfo Aranci, is the signature dish. The freshness of ingredients is certified by the presence of a shellfish tank in the establishment. Additionally, for the past couple of seasons, the quick dining offer has been expanded with a menu dedicated to sandwiches distinguished by names of Costa Smeralda locations. The wine list is extensive and largely dedicated to Sardinia, particularly the “local hero” represented by Vermentino. There are about sixty cocktails on the drink list, including the signature reimagined Paloma. The sea’s transparency leaves you speechless. Here nature has been so generous that the Piccinnos’ only duty has been to respect such beauty.
