Four different beaches available in the beautiful bay of Sistiana. Parco Caravella guests can choose between Central Beach, Family Beach with easier access to the sea, Bau Beach complete with a dedicated enclosure and showers for dogs, or Falesie Beach which is the historic part of the establishment, beneath the rocks that plunge dramatically from the Carso coastline into the sea. The bay of Sistiana is indeed located in a protected area characterized by imposing cliff rocks: an environment perhaps little known among non-Triestines, despite being crossed by a spectacular trail named after the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who lived in nearby Duino. And right below the trail lies Parco Caravella, in operation since 1996 through the initiative of a local entrepreneurial family seeking to revitalize and enhance Sistiana and its sea. Parco Caravella represents one of the best-organized solutions along the Giulian coast and boasts transparent sea with intense colors. The gastronomic offering ranges from simple kiosks with snacks to family restaurants, to the Base nightclub and the terrace for Sunday aperitifs that extend until midnight. For those planning to arrive a bit later, there’s the advantage of afternoon rates: after 3 PM you pay half price. Among the available amenities, the paid internal parking and playground stand out.
