On the dazzling beach of Policoro, the establishment managed by the Mastrosimone family stands out for several aspects. First of all, it’s also open on winter weekends, and then naturally during the beautiful season it’s always open. It has a bar service inside, a restaurant also in self-service formula and a pizzeria with wood-fired oven that also offers a line of gluten-free pizzas. It’s perfect for children, because it has a large dedicated space with playground, and for sports enthusiasts too, because inside the structure there’s a beach volleyball court. The beach is wide with fine sand; right on the water’s edge there are some pebbles that might be bothersome, but you just need to be a bit careful and there’s no need for reef shoes. To the left, looking at the sea, you’ll find the relaxation area, on the opposite side there are the spots where there’s more movement. The spots are white with standard loungers. The most beautiful point of the establishment, in our opinion, is the one between the beach and the restaurant, with palm trees and “living rooms” created under the gazebos, white curtains and lamps with “fringes” that sway in the wind. Among the dishes on the menu we recommend the fusillo alla lucana (with sausage, tomato, fried breadcrumbs and crusco pepper) and the polpo alla lucana. About fifty labels on the wine list, with a section dedicated to Champagnes. During winter, in addition to opening on Saturday and Sunday, there’s also a beach disco and private events are organized.
