Laura Mare Beach, Paestum

Beach club with private spa and other absolutely prestigious services, offered at a very high quality-to-price ratio. We’re in Laura di Paestum, but we could be in Forte dei Marmi for the quality and care in design. This establishment, founded in 1983, was completely renovated in 2020, or rather: Michele Mucciolo, son of the founder and manager since 1999, literally demolished the old structure, replacing it with an eco-sustainable work free of any concrete construction. A platform resting on logs fixed on the sand now houses the new Laura Mare Beach designed by architect Luca Cerullo, a Paestum native based in Barcelona. The result is a beach club dominated by light, natural materials and the absence of barriers. There isn’t even a gate: everything open, everything facing the sea, creating a space where you feel free, serene and in direct contact with the sand, dunes, pine forest and nature. In a design context set on a wide fine-sand beach like Paestum’s, the property’s investments are constant, as evidenced by the creation of the sea-view spa and the recently introduced massage cabin. Then there’s the dining, of excellent level, thanks to the partnership signed between Laura Mare and the nearby Hotel Royal. This gave birth to Rosmarino Paestum, whose kitchen offers fresh fish dishes and pan pizzas to pair with cocktails and the many wines on the menu. Speaking of wines, here the evenings organized with wineries follow one another throughout the season.
