La Kicca by Oasi Beach, Scanzano Jonico

La Kicca, both in name and in fact, of the Matera coast. In a wild area not even served by the water supply network, so much so that drinking water here is transported by tanker trucks, there is the beach establishment created and managed by Valerio Lassandro, with ample spacing between positions and various gazebos in the front rows to spend a day at the sea with maximum comfort. In total, we find 75 umbrellas and 12 premium gazebos, four more than in previous seasons: Valerio’s choice was to reduce the number of umbrellas to further qualify his beach club’s offering by investing in quality, as was also done in the 2025 season with the renovation of toilets and showers. At the restaurant, also under the guidance of Valerio and his wife with the collaboration of all the staff, the menu was expanded in the last season among raw seafood dishes, first courses always based on fish like the fresh pasta La Kicca (squid, tomato, crusco pepper and breadcrumbs), while among the second courses the alternatives to all available catch are represented by hamburgers and cutlets. The wine list features about fifteen labels. The drink offer is completed by a small cocktail list. The beach closes at seven in the evening but actually the service continues both on the beach and naturally in the kitchen. Restaurant reservations are recommended in the evening, because it is very popular with tourists and also with local customers, which is further guarantee of quality. A place where you feel good, in perfect harmony with the sea and nature.
