Kora Beach Club, Segrate

A new opening for summer 2025 that has caused quite a stir because it concerns Milan, even though Kora Beach Club actually belongs to the nearby town of Segrate. We’re at the Idroscalo, the “Milanese seaside” where, at Punta dell’Est, a group of young entrepreneurs, already active in sports facility catering, has created the first beach club capable of meeting the expectations of a demanding clientele like that of the Lombard capital. The project is ambitious and already from the first season you can sense the desire to aim high, combining quality and sustainability in furnishings made from wood and other natural materials (like the white rope coverings in the reception area), offering spaces for sports activities (there’s even a small gym) and a wellness area where yoga classes and other outdoor activities are organized, which allow Kora to attract many clients even during the cooler seasons. Furthermore, in the first season, there was also the possibility to shop with a corner dedicated to a well-known outdoor clothing brand. A mix of relaxation, wellness and events, because on weekends the beach club becomes a meeting place, from aperitivo onwards, to enjoy the cooler hours with live music and DJ sets. The facilities are new and premium quality, with wooden sun loungers and comfort mattresses. In the bar and restaurant area, under coverings created with wooden twigs, misting systems have been installed to refresh guests when the heat becomes oppressive. The 2025 menu, still evolving, included dishes like cod cannolo, Mediterranean fregola, spaghetti with drunken octopus and green sauce, Kora pulled pork and the essential club sandwich. A good selection of wines by the glass and bottle, including several champagnes, is complemented by the cocktail menu with signatures like El Gabri (Campari, Espolòn tequila summer yuzu). Many new features are coming and there’s also talk of a swimming pool in the area closest to the Idroscalo which, in any case, is suitable for swimming. Everything is very beautiful, despite the exterior not living up to the beach club standards, but once inside everything changes.
