Blanca Cruz, Caminia
Enchanting beach with total white stations and proper distancing. Plus a restaurant area with a rotisserie

One of the most beautiful seas, and not just in Calabria, characterizes Blanca Cruz, a beach establishment that captures the heart of those traveling along the Italian coast. Never mind that viaduct that somewhat disturbs the postcard-perfect landscape, in a place that’s important for Italian history because here you’ll find the cave of San Gregorio where, according to legend, King Italus, sovereign of the Oenotrians, gave Italy its name. And right here a museum has been created, Mu.Ma.K, dedicated to the history of the coastal territory and its beauties. Hoping that, sooner or later, the institutions will intervene to camouflage that intrusive public work, let’s enjoy Blanca Cruz starting from the enchanting beach and then climbing toward the structure, crossing the total white stations with umbrellas and standard loungers with proper distancing, arriving at the restaurant area where you can choose between table service, with a menu that changes monthly (among the dishes on the menu: grilled octopus, caramelized onion, Apulian burrata and smoked coffee powder), sushi or the pizzeria; alternatively there’s the tavola calda or that part, which literally drives us crazy, represented by the fry shop and rotisserie with always-hot specialties like ‘nduja croquettes. The establishment is equipped with many services: internal newsstand, tobacco shop, juice bar, diving courses organized by Paolo, free internal parking for members. Those who would like to spend a few more days at Blanca Cruz can rely on Baia dell’Est, a hotel and village belonging to the same ownership that offers access to the beach establishment.
