A new arrival in the summer of 2024, confirmed with upgrades in the following season. Bagno Saint Tropez is a successful business venture because it’s built on solid foundations and proves that you can deliver the highest quality in hospitality and services in a location like Fregene, which naturally attracts visitors from Rome—just over half an hour away (traffic permitting)—and that alone would be enough. But this kind of innovation was missing from the Roman coastline, and collaborations with top Rome hotels followed as a natural consequence. Credit must be given to the founders, who also believed in keeping the beach club open year-round, taking advantage of mild weather on beautiful days to offer guests the chance to dine with a sea view even on winter weekends. Last summer, we appreciated the professionalism of both the beach and restaurant staff, the private parking available to guests, the beach towels included in the price for front-row sunbeds (which also reserve loungers with mattresses, a small table, and a welcome kit), the refined and simple dining with a focus on fresh fish—raw fish, oysters, hand-cut Pata Negra, white fish ragù paccheri, grilled squid, homemade tarts—and a wine list featuring over a hundred labels in the early season days. The beauty of the structure, with its iconic white-and-red striped pattern on sun loungers and seating throughout, including the restaurant, is matched by the beauty of the coastline where Bagno Saint Tropez stands, characterized by soft sand and a very calm swimming area thanks to erosion-protection structures. And if the wind picks up, the day is still saved by the pool, positioned in a sheltered spot.
