The new summer case concerns Sea Horse Beach

There’s no peace for beach resorts. It was Sea Horse Beach itself, directly from its social media profiles, that announced the business continues while heading into the busiest working days, those leading up to Ferragosto. What happened to the beach club in Amantea, Calabria, which we’ve already told you about for its unique features and beauty?

“We inform our valued customers that the bar, restaurant and pizzeria service is temporarily suspended,” reads a post from August 3rd on Sea Horse Beach’s Instagram. With a clarification: “Beach service remains regularly active.”

A few hours earlier, on local websites, news had appeared that a “well-known lido in Coreca,” the locality in the municipality of Amantea where Sea Horse is located, had been placed under seizure by law enforcement for irregularities in permits related to music and events.

It took just cross-referencing a couple of sites to verify that it was Sea Horse. In particular, the name is written in black and white by a blogger who speaks of a seizure orchestrated “by the usual suspects,” expressly citing the municipal council.

Awaiting further developments, and to understand if Sea Horse Beach will file an appeal, we can confirm that the establishment is open regarding the beach area. While waiting to return to taste the legendary Sunday sandwich with swordfish that is one of Sea Horse Beach’s specialties.
