A new Mediterranean gem is on the horizon. In summer 2026, Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences will unveil one of its most exciting projects yet: the Falkensteiner Beach Resort Sicily, a five-star seaside escape bringing the group’s signature blend of family-friendly hospitality, refined design, and barefoot luxury to the southern coast of the island.

The resort is taking shape near Licata, a coastal town already known to discerning travelers and featured in the Guide to Italy’s Best Beach Clubs for its stunning Cala del Re. Designed by the acclaimed Milanese studio Vudafieri Saverino Partners, the property promises contemporary elegance infused with Mediterranean soul — clean lines, sun-drenched spaces, and a seamless connection between sea and sky.

Just ten kilometers from Licata, the new Falkensteiner Beach Resort Sicily will open directly onto a pristine stretch of beach, offering 125 rooms and suites, including spacious accommodations of up to 70 m² and duplex villas reaching 140 m², some featuring private pools with sea views.

Guests can expect a haven of relaxation and fun — from water sports and family activities to an expansive Acquapura Spa, complete with a family wellness area and an adults-only retreat. The beachfront restaurant and elegant beach club will make the most of Sicily’s culinary bounty, pairing local flavors with Falkensteiner’s contemporary flair.

The Sicilian debut marks a bold new chapter for the group’s Italian portfolio. The first milestone will arrive this December, when the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Falkensteinerhof in Valles (Bolzano) reopens after a full-scale renovation and an upgrade to four-star superior status — just in time for the ski season.

Looking ahead, spring 2026 will bring another dazzling addition: a five-star hideaway on Lake Garda in Salò, set within a lush botanical park overlooking the lake and the historic village. The property will feature a fine dining restaurant, an Acquapura Spa, and spaces designed especially for younger guests — combining natural serenity with Italian sophistication.

With three existing seaside addresses — Falkensteiner Resort Capo Boi in Sardinia, Falkensteiner Club Funimation Garden in Calabria, and Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Jesolo in Veneto — plus six hotels in South Tyrol, the group continues to expand its vision of laid-back luxury across Italy’s most captivating landscapes.
