Victoria Beach, Menaggio

At the top of Lake Como’s beach club offerings, Victoria Beach is the beach club of the Grand Hotel Victoria, part of the R Collection Hotel group, and is open to external guests. This is a premium establishment from an economic standpoint, but for those without budget constraints, it’s certainly a good investment. It features three pools, one for children and two infinity pools for adult guests (the photos here are absolutely stunning and worth sharing, if you don’t fear social envy…), a pool bar and patio bar, plus a restaurant open for lunch and dinner with different menus depending on the occasion: among the dishes, low-temperature cooked egg with Parmigiano drizzle, beef with its jus and mini vegetable garden, Mediterranean catch of the day. The lake-view positions are top-level, with soft colors and comfort mattresses, perfect for enjoying a sunset cocktail. For swimming, you can choose between the pools and diving into Lake Como, which is quite accessible at Victoria. Regarding prices, the biggest obstacle is parking, for those who choose to leave their car directly at the Grand Hotel. Then it starts from a minimum of 60 euros for the standard position and goes up to 300 euros in high season for the lounge space, but that price includes a bottle of champagne, water and fresh fruit. For us, it’s worth trying.
