Singita Miracle Beach, Fregene

The most significant experience to enjoy at sunset and in the evening on the Roman coast is at Singita. The brand, also present in Malta, Marina di Ravenna and Argentario, expresses its maximum potential here in Fregene, because it was precisely on the Roman coast that the idea was born, and this “Miracle Beach” still represents the starting point for those who join the group and are trained before moving to other locations. Sixty people work here, but during peak season – which at Singita Fregene corresponds to weekends and not necessarily the mid-August period – the number rises above one hundred. As for its characteristics, it’s an equipped free beach adjacent to the actual free beach, for which it also operates as a service facility (including showers). The costs for using the stations are reasonable, services are essential, and the most popular is certainly beverages, with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu. At the restaurant, the lunch menu has a distinctive character (bowls, fish hummus, wraps) while during aperitif time, pinse are extremely popular, like the one with zucchini flowers and cherry tomatoes, as well as Greek-inspired dishes like Santorini Dip. The beach concept is striking in its simplicity, furnished with wooden structures and stations, white drapes, natural material carpets, a wooden cart transformed into a boutique, rope umbrellas in the lunch area and straw ones facing the sea. In the evenings, the atmosphere is festive with lanterns, candlelight, colorful balloons and cotton fabrics placed on the beach, while music accompanies the rhythm of life. For those who don’t love overly crowded places, it’s advisable to visit during off-season, particularly during Roman “ottobrate” when the sunset is especially moving.
