Nabilah Luxury Beach, Bacoli

For those unfamiliar with this stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast, north of Naples, the discovery is truly surprising. And so is the entrance to Nabilah, the beach club we liked most among those on Miseno beach for its position, close to the ruins of the ancient villa of Roman consul Publius Servilius Vatia, and for everything it offers: starting with the central pools, conceived as a club within a club. The structure where you dine indoors is impressive, the central chiringuito specializing in cocktails to be enjoyed at sunset is precious, which here is truly spectacular. Managed for generations by the Iannuzzi family, it is part of the ancient concession of Lido Fusaro, dating back to 1949, and known since then to Neapolitans who reached it by train thanks to the nearby station of the Cumana railway. It bears the name of an Arab woman and recalls that of Khashoggi’s legendary yacht. Swimming here is like immersing yourself in history, with the beach ending at the fortress of Cuma, where the cave of the legendary Sibyl is located. In its own way, Nabilah’s cuisine also tends toward legend thanks to the recipes of chef Marco Ambrosino who, after establishing himself in Milan, has returned to Campania, and supervises Nabilah’s kitchen. The location is tastefully furnished and the design allows light to filter through, eliminating any barrier between land and sea. The sunbeds are positioned on the lawn, on the beach and around the pools.
