La Dogana di Capalbio

Summer 2025 at La Dogana di Capalbio beach club saw the debut of the international cuisine concept Il Doganino, entrusted to Japanese-Brazilian chef Ricardo Takamitsu, in addition to the main restaurant La Terrazza, with chef Luca Morroto firmly at the helm (among his most celebrated dishes from last season, the linguine with black garlic, scampi and bottarga stands out, also mentioned by Sunday Times critics). The two restaurants have been joined by the mixology corner, open from noon until late evening, with a drink list ranging from great classics to their reinterpretations, and it’s the ideal place to enjoy an aperitif while waiting for the sun to set over the Tyrrhenian Sea before concluding the evening at La Terrazza or Il Doganino. But La Dogana is also and above all a beach club, the southernmost on the Tuscan coast, certainly one of the finest in terms of quality. La Dogana is an integral part of the Terre di Sacra project, an initiative born from the desire of a group of entrepreneur friends to acquire a wild strip of territory located in Capalbio, building a luxury hospitality complex in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. Villas with pools, cottages, glamping: these and many other solutions suitable for all tastes and needs, each offering a relaxing stay in a unique setting, steps away from the sea and the natural oasis of Lake Burano. The beach club management is handled by the Roman group Enoteca La Torre, two Michelin stars in the Capital with their restaurant at Villa Laetitia, which has applied the same quality criteria in the beach club context as they use in their restaurant operations and event management. Sea breeze and waves provide the dominant soundtrack among the well-spaced stations set in a truly evocative marine location between open sea, sand dunes and Mediterranean scrubland. Among the special touches is the beach picnic, which offers beach club guests the chance to taste restaurant recipes comfortably under their umbrella. There’s also the option of service directly in the umbrella area with a dedicated Doganino menu.
