Grand Beach Club, Alassio

The beach club is the added value of summer within Grand Hotel Alassio’s offering, also enjoyable in other months of the year thanks to the mild climate of the Riviera di Ponente and the presence of a Spa, the Thalassio Medical, the crown jewel of this prestigious hotel built in the 19th century in neoclassical style facing the beach. The clientele has changed over the years, and to the English who have always loved Alassio and the Ligurian Ponente, many other tourists from abroad have been added to make the Grand Hotel a true international reference point. With about sixty rooms and almost ninety beach positions, set up with sun loungers and director’s chairs, it goes without saying that the beach can also welcome external clients, but it’s advisable to book in advance and in any case, since Grand Hotel guests have priority rights, it won’t be easy to find a front-row spot. And who knows if the 2026 season will see the confirmation of the partnership with the Drumohr brand, which for a couple of years has been stylishly “signing” the umbrellas, sun loungers, Hollywood-style chairs and even the beach towels of Grand Beach Club (included in the price). Among the customer services we find Grand Hotel water served in tetrapack containers (plastic banned), canoe rental to explore the coast and attempt landing on Gallinara island, drinks at Gazebino Beach Club, artisanal ice creams by Marco Serra, aqua gym lessons during the central summer months. Try the seaside dining experience at Gazebo Restaurant with chef Roberto Balgisi’s dishes such as amberjack tartare with raspberry gazpacho, “comfort food” pacchero, trofie with pesto and purple shrimp, and the grand mixed grill of fresh catch with spiced mayonnaise.
