Belmond Romazzino Beach Club, Arzachena

Romazzino means rosemary, and the hotel’s logo evokes the plant seen from above. This is a 5-star luxury resort that has been operating since the 1960s, created at the behest of Prince Karim Aga Khan and designed by architect Michele Busiri Vici. In 2024, the hotel reopened under Belmond management following a restyling by Milan-based studio Palomba Serafini Associati, with a transformation that also involved the beach club. The main novelty for beach club enthusiasts is beach access granted to “non-residents” who can enjoy this wonderful location using services dedicated to Belmond clients. The beach is located on Romazzino beach, one of the most extensive uniform bays on the entire Costa Smeralda and second only to Liscia Ruja in size, with its characteristic granular sand that doesn’t stick to the skin and creates special reflections under the sea. Water access is easy in the central part of the beach club, while snorkeling enthusiasts can enjoy the entire rocky area. The view from this bay is magnificent, between Capo Capaccio and the two small islands in front that curiously take the name Isole dei Poveri (Islands of the Poor). Certainly not poor are the Romazzino clients, who also have access to a private pier, the fine dining restaurant La Terrasse open for dinner, and the restaurant Éntu e Mari (wind and sea) for lunch. The food and beverage offering is complemented by the Pool Bar serving during the day and Bar Ginepro for aperitifs or after-dinner drinks. The pool is among the most beautiful imaginable, with another bar point available to clients and an equipped area for treatments and the gym. The garden area completes the offering, ideal for spending the hottest days or the warmest moments of early afternoon.
